Without the engine, Split-Fire's skid steer log splitter products are indeed maintenance-free and designed to be used heavily year-after-year. Available in both upright and inverted configurations, the skid steer log splitter can either be operated from internal cab controls, or a valve on the top of the machine. Inverted configurations offer the ability to split large unmanageable rounds from the comfort of the skid steer cab (with visibility of the knife position via the yellow flag); while upright configurations are controlled via valve operation to offer a more conventional splitting experience. Due to Split-Fire’s combination of machine features that reduce fluid and sliding friction, the most efficient delivery of splitting force is ensured. You’ll find Split-Fire’s unique friction reducing engineering attributes, and value-added features on all of our 2-Way log splitters; including the use of sliders made of extremely tough plastic (UHMW) with high abrasion and wear resistance to glide the knife back-and-forth with reduced energy losses. Our machines also feature our internally mounted hydraulic cylinder design for added system rigidity; and “V” shaped log stops that are unique to Split-Fire too, and further enhance the log splitters efficiency and safety. Split-Fire’s 4207 Skidsteer wood splitter harnesses the power of a skid steer to produce 32 ton of splitting force, ideal for commercial splitting. The 4207 2-way wood splitter is capable of splitting 48” diameter logs. With a Skidsteer mounted log splitter there’s no need to have a second operator in the cab as it can be operated independently, with the controls mounted on the wood splitter. Designed as a work horse log splitter you’d be hard pressed to find a piece of wood the 4207 couldn’t handle.
A Hydraulic, steel plate log lifter can be fitted to the 4207 to assist in managing larger blocks of wood. While in the up position the log lifter also doubles as a work table, preventing wood from falling to the ground once split.
