 Heavy-duty depth precision
Carrier X 425-625 is a mounted foldable disc cultivator with discs positioned in an x-shape, available in 4.25, 5.25 or 6.25 metre working width. It can be fitted with 450 or 470mm diameter discs.
It has excellent contour following and impressive penetration ability for its weight. The working depth is set from the tractor cab, enabling adaptation to varying conditions in the field.

X stands for x-disc
The discs are positioned in an x-shape, which enables the lateral forces to cancel each other out. The x-disc format guarantees that the machine will always run dead straight behind the tractor. This saves diesel but is also essential when using a GPS guidance system or when driving in hilly conditions.

Discs according to requirement
Carrier X 425-625 can be fitted with either 450mm discs or 470mm TrueCut discs. Both discs produces fine tilth optimal for a stale seedbed.
The 450mm disc has small cut-outs, resulting in an intensive cultivation even at a very shallow working depth. The 470mm TrueCut disc has larger cut-outs which can handle more crop residue with increased penetration.

Adjustable disc angles
To further increase the soil searching ability of the discs each disc hub can be rotated to change the disc angles.
Tests have shown this technique increases the penetration capacity by up to 50%, compared to traditional solutions with same machine weight.
You benefit from an excellent penetration to weight ratio, as well as the ability to adjust the disc angle according to field conditions.

Full control from the cab
To gain full control, the working depth is controlled hydraulically from the cab. This provides Carrier X with high precision and versatility on varying soil types.
The depth setting is easily carried out, without the need for top link adjustments.

Easy to manoeuvre
Carrier X 425-625 is mounted on the three-point linkage, which offers a high ground clearance and very good mobility.
The transport width is only 2.4 metres and even when folded you maintain a good rear view from the cab.
You benefit from convenient transport between fields and short turning radius on headlands.

Carrier X for harsh environments
By incorporating slurry at the same time as it is applied, more nutrients become available for the subsequent crop. Väderstad has designed solutions to connect a third part slurry distributor head. In order to adapt to the harsh environment associated with fertiliser delivery, Carrier X can be delivered as a slurry edition.
The kit includes a galvanised frame, piston rod protection, a hydraulic wing lock and stainless steel hydraulic couplings.
The result is a machine with a very long life in extremely demanding environments.

BioDrill turns Carrier into a seed drill
Equipped with the mountable small-seeder BioDrill, Carrier 300-400 is able to establish a small seeded crop, such as cover crops or oilseed rape.
By drilling directly after harvesting you benefit from preserved soil moisture, while also saving both time and diesel in a busy period. |
