SELLER DESCRIPTION
Carrier is a disc cultivator used for high speed primary tillage and seedbed preparation. The wide range of front tools, discs and packers enables Carrier to handle the versatile challenges of modern farming – from ultra-shallow cultivation to a deeper incorporation. The versatility it brings to the farm saves passes, decreases machine cost per hectare and provides the best start possible for the coming crop.

Features
|
Versatility in disc cultivation
Carrier L/XL 425-825 is a trailed disc cultivator, available in working widths between 4.25 to 8.25m. It can be fitted with 510 or 610mm discs, with adjustable disc angles.
The sizes of the discs make Carrier L/XL 425-825 well suited for deeper cultivation, incorporating large amounts of crop residues or breaking up pasture. A wide range of front tools increases the versatility of the machine.
|
Discs allowing for increased working depth
Carrier L/XL can be fitted with either 510mm or 610mm TrueCut discs. In comparison, the 510mm disc increases the space around the disc which allows for a higher throughflow. The 610mm on the other hand, enables greater working depth, which is a benefit when incorporating large amounts of crop residues, such as harvested maize stubble
|
MultiSet offers versatility
The adjustable MultiSet disc hubs allow the disc angle to be set to one of three positions between 11 and 17 degrees. This enables the disc aggressiveness to be adjusted to fit different working depths.
Thereby a perfect slicing can be achieved during shallow cultivation, and a good penetration can be ensured at a greater working depth.
|
Easy adjustment
The maximum working depth is set on the machine, while operational depth settings are carried out hydraulically from the cab. To ensure optimal slicing and uniform cultivation, the front row of discs can be adjusted in the lateral direction with the help of rigging screws.
|
Support on packer or wheels
Carrier L/XL 425-825 design allows for the transport wheels to be set down in the field, which makes the disc cultivator very manoeuvrable.
On headlands, the machine can be turned on either the packer or the wheels. The wheels can be lowered in damp areas or when shallower cultivation is required. By raising up the frame it is easy to back into corners, allowing the whole field to be cultivated.
|
Adjustable wing pressure on wider models
To be able to match the working results to the conditions in the field, Carrier L/XL 625 and 825 is equipped with hydraulically adjustable wing pressure.
This ensures that the machine gives the same cultivation effect across the entire working width.
|
Straw harrow compensates for poor straw distribution
Large combines tend to have a poor straw distribution, leading to an uneven emergence of the next crop. Equipped with the straw harrow Carrier not only cuts, but also distributes straw in the same pass. Well distributed straw is crucial to provide the following crop with the same conditions over the entire field.
|
CrossBoard Heavy for perfect levelling
With CrossBoard Heavy, clods are crushed and the soil is levelled. A double acting stabilising bar increases levelling capacity.
The CrossBoard is equipped with master and slave cylinders, which ensures a level work result by maintaining the position of each CrossBoard section.
|
CrossCutter Knife adds versatility
By equipping Carrier L/XL 425-825 with the intensive knife roller CrossCutter Knife, crop residues can be cut in two directions.
Weeds and small-seeded crops, such as oilseed rape, profit from an improved germination. A benefit after grain or sunflowers is the intensified chopping of the straw, giving a faster decomposition. Additionally, cover crops can be crushed and incorporated cost efficiently.
|
Easy to transport
When transporting Carrier L/XL 425-825 between fields, the machine is wing-folded to fit within 3m transport width.
The transport wheels are equipped with hydraulic suspension, resulting in a safe and calm ride, whilst also preventing damage to the machines main frame.
|
Save passes with BioDrill
By equipping Carrier L/XL 425-825 with the mountable small seeder BioDrill 360, a small-seeded crop such as oilseed rape or cover crops can be established in the same pass as the cultivating operation.
The integrated ground radar provides perfect speed detection, whilst the high fan capacity ensures equal distribution of all seed sizes.
BioDrill provides an accurate seeding at the same time as it saves passes on the field.
