The DeSite SLG-108VFRB with Feed Deflector

The function of our Feed Deflector is to stop the forward motion of material falling from the bucket. It is designed to catch and gather material, forcing it down the the top of the screen deck to begin the screening process. The feed deflector consists of two laser cut and formed side panels that supports the deflectors structure. Bolted to the side panels are three individual tubes with intermediate supports that hold two heavy duty 3/8 thick rubber mats.

Here you can see the two heavy rubber mats that cover the entire screen deck. Each of the two mats are bolted to the main upper tube. The mats then hang vertical curling under the lower structure tube and then cover each panel of the screen deck. The weight of the mats help to keep dirt and rock down on the mesh for efficient screening.

for Backhoes and Wheel Loaders

The DeSite SLG-108VFRB priced at 11K offers screening independence at a price that makes sense. The 108VFRB can be fed with skid steers, backhoes and up to 2.5 cubic meter wheel loaders. Contractors have varying sizes of equipment in their fleet like our 108 series screener because the riser box can be removed in less than 5 minutes lowering the feed height for efficient screening with skid steers. As you can see in the photo, the feed deflector does not inter fear with the 108’s ability to manipulate deck slope while screening.

Onsite Screening Mobility is Important

Having the ability to move your screening machine in and around the worksite is very important. Standard screeners with wheels or a chassis take time to move. You must first clean up around the screener before setting down the axles and rigging up the hitch system. We have designed the SLG-108 series screener with pallet fork lift tubes that will also accept our heavy duty lift extensions, allowing the backhoe or loader feeding the screener to move the unit around the worksite. Keeping the screener close to your work keeps dust at a minimum giving maximum productivity.

Transporting is Quick and Safe

Other box style screeners are designed with an axle at the back and a hitch on the front, putting excessive weight on the tow vehicle. Hitch weight is always a concern moving machines. In many cases a dump truck or semi is the only legal way to move other screener designs. As you can see in this picture our SLG-108VFRB is being moved legally with a pickup because the weight of our screener can be distributed evenly on the trailer. Lights, tires, wiring, brakes and airlines and not friends with dirt and rocks. We have designed our screeners that are free of all of these ticket magnets. Our screeners are easy to move, simply clean off the screener and put it on your trailer and move it to the next job.
